Who are we?

Idaho Pet Aquamation is a family-owned business based in Nampa, Idaho, and the first to bring aquamation to the Treasure Valley. We provide compassionate, eco-friendly aftercare for beloved pets through aquamation, a gentle water-based alternative to flame cremation that honors each pet with dignity while protecting the environment. As lifelong pet lovers and proud owners of two border collies and a cat, we understand how deeply animals become part of the family, and we treat every pet entrusted to us as our own. Serving families directly and partnering with veterinary clinics across the Treasure Valley, we are committed to offering a sustainable, meaningful choice for one of life’s hardest goodbyes.

What is aquamation?

Aquamation, also known as alkaline hydrolysis or water cremation, is a gentle, eco-conscious alternative to traditional flame cremation. This water-based process uses a combination of water, heat, and alkaline compounds to accelerate the natural decomposition process, mimicking what occurs in nature when an animal passes. Aquamation is 90% more energy-efficient than flame cremation and produces no harmful greenhouse gas emissions.

Why choose aquamation?

  • Gentle and respectful process

  • Flameless alternative – uses water instead of fire

  • Eco-friendly – 1/10th the environmental impact of flame cremation

  • Zero emissions – no harmful greenhouse gases or mercury

  • Ashes are 100% clean, disease- and pollutant-free

  • A sustainable choice – kind to both loved ones and the planet
